Application Procedures:

The application procedures for positions will differ for internal and external candidates. For internal applicants, we will follow the procedure established in the union contract (if applicable); however, many of the items listed below will still be required.  External applicants need to submit the following items by the close of business (4:00 pm) on the closing date noted in the advertisement/posting:

  1. Completed application
  2. Cover letter specifying the position for which you are applying
  3. Resume
  4. Three recent letters of reference (signed and dated within 1 year of your application) 
  5. Official school transcripts
  6. Copies of certifications held
  7. Other items as indicated in the job posting

Upon hiring, all new employees must submit fingerprints for a background and criminal history check. Applicants will also be asked if they were ever convicted of a crime or if charges are currently pending. New hires must also show proof of citizenship or lawful residence in the United States of America.

All new employees must also submit to a DCF registry check to ensure the individual does not have a finding of abuse or neglect against them.
